Day 1 Arrival at Guwahati Airport to Shillong (100 kms | 3 hrs.)
Board your flight from your respective hub. On arrival at Guwahati Airport & transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called 'Scotland of the East" (100 kms 3 hrs). On arrival check-in at hotel Later visit Don Bosco Monument, Wards Lake, Botanical Garden, Golf Course, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christian, Crinoline Falls and Lady Hydri Park. Evening free for personal activities. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 02: Day trip to Cherrapunjee:
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4869Ft/1484M). Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves, Mawkdok Viewpoint, Nohkalikai Falls, 7 Sister Falls, Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai Cave, which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. In the evening return back to Shillong and Overnight in Shillong.
Day 03: Day trip to Dawki & Mawlynnong:
After Early breakfast excursion to Mawlynnong and Dawki. Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, *a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village Drive Further 30 Kms from Mwallynong to reach Dawki. Dawki, name is famous because of international trade border town to Bangladesh. The Drive to Dawki is a beautiful drive along with Bangladesh border, covered with betel nut trees and a thrilling experience to drive around lots of waterfalls. You can see people from Bangladesh working and fishing in this river being in Indian Border. Before reaching This bordering town you will came across with this blue-water river which is known as Umngot river. Dowaki village is known for limestone business and other international trade with Bangladesh and weekly market allows people from both sides to tread their stuffs. In the evening return back to Shillong and Overnight in Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong to Guwahati (100 kms | 3 hrs):
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for Guwahati. On arrival check-in to hotel and later visit Kamakhya Temple, - The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva?s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. Also visit Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, Balaji Temple, state Zoo. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 05: Departure from Guwahati Airport
After breakfast, , check out of the hotel and proceed to Guwahati airport for your onward journey. Hope you had an enjoyable trip!
